Our beautiful restaurant and function areas are designed with the classic feel of the tropics. Here, you’ll find white timber shutters, cool classic marble floors, lush deep green potted palms, and slowly whirring ceiling fans (and modern air-conditioning of course!)

The Plantation

Our restaurant was voted 2006 and 2007 Cairns Restaurant of the Year by the northern chapter of the Australian Culinary Federation.

We’d love to include our menu for you, but we change it so regularly! Naturally, our chefs use our region’s special delicacies such as seafoods from the Coral Sea and fish, fruit and vegetables from our superb hinterland.

Our philosophy is to present food with modern simplicity, and our menus reflect modern Australian/Asian/Mediterranean dishes. We also offer Hot Rock © Cuisine which is, quite simply, the best way to enjoy the tastes of freshly prepared local beef and seafoods!

Breakfast is served between 6.00am and 9.00am Mon-Fri and 6.00am and 10.00am Sat-Sun. Our breakfasts feature an extensive choice of seasonal tropical fruits, pastries, cereals and a freshly cooked hot buffet. You can choose from either a Continental Breakfast for $16.50 per person or a Full Breakfast (including hot buffet) for $22.50 per person.

Dinner is served between 6.00pm and 10.00pm daily with a full a la carte menu choice, a selection of popular and classic Australian wines and beers. The bar is also open from 5.00pm daily. Entrees from $9.50, Main Courses from $19.50 and Desserts from $9.50.

We have both ground and first floor facilities for different functions and events.

On the ground floor, adjacent to The Plantation next to the separate dining entrance of The Hotel Cairns, is our separate air-conditioned Plantation Room. This is ideal for private functions day or night, or day time meetings and small conferences.

On the first floor, an extensive banquet space which will comfortably seat up to 200 guests at tables of 10 is available for hire. This space is serviced by a separate kitchen facility.
